Chocolate. Cookies. Chocolate cookies. Add in a Grandmama’s touch and you’ve got yourself one hell of a cookie!
This recipe comes from our Operations Manager, Leah. Thanks to her Grandma’s recipe, we can all indulge in some chocolatey goodness. This type of cookie is typically called a Chocolate Pixie Cookie, but we think “Grandma’s Chocolate Cookie” has a nice ring to it!
Make sure you have:
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 12 tbsp of cocoa powder (plus 4 tbsp cooking oil)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp of vanilla
Make sure you:
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine oil, cocoa powder, and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time mixing well. Add vanilla and dry ingredients and blend well. Chill for several hours or overnight. When ready to bake, roll dough into one inch balls, then roll in powdered sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 350°F.
These cookies are perfect for when you’re entertaining friends, or when you really want to impress your coworkers. But if you choose to eat them all to yourself in one sitting we promise we won’t judge!
If that's not enough chocolate to satisfy your craving you can always slather some on your face with our Chocolate Face Mask!
