Come and check it out!

Where: Saint Paul University, 223 Main Street, in Old Ottawa East.

When: Saturdays from 9am – 2pm.

For more information about the market go to: http://www.mainfarmersmarket.org/

Want to stop by the shop?

We'll be open on Saturday May 19th, and Sunday May 20th from 11-5 as usual.

If you haven't had a chance to stop by Chinatown's Somerset St. (including us!) for Chinatown Remixed, pop on over and check it out!

Chinatown Remixed presents one continuous art gallery in . . . Ottawa’s Chinatown. The month-long celebration of art exhibits original artwork in unusual & diverse venues — jewelry stores, travel agencies, grocery stores, and cafés. More than 40 artists will show their work in 40 businesses along Somerset Street West.

Colin White (http://colinwhitestudio.com/) is showcasing his latest collection at our shop and we are thrilled! We first met Colin at Raw Sugar during their 2010 Christmas craft show and have been big fans of his bold, detailed, and locally-inspired sketches ever since. Here's some info on his collection:

"Confectionaries: Remixed are paper weavings made using test prints from my original Confectionaries series.

Over the course of printing the Confectionaries series in 2011, I collected the "scrap" test prints, with the intention to turn them into a project. In January 2012, the artist centre where I printed this series suffered a flood, and has been unavailable since. Unable to print (at least at this subsidized studio), I began cutting and weaving the tests into original pieces. Thus, Confectionaries: Remixed."

Where: At our shop (882 Somerset St. W) and other businesses in Ottawa's Chinatown. For other participating businesses and a list of events, check out this link: http://chinatownremixed.ca/?p=305

When: Exhibitions continue until June 12th.
