ArtsPark is an annual locally-inspired urban arts event that's low-key, family-friendly, and free! It will feature a dedicated children's program, including art, music, and a bike parade. ArtsPark supports Hintonburg's vibrant arts community and the QUAD, a grassroots initiative begun by the HCA and led by the neighbourhood's 400-person-strong creative force. The QUAD is Ottawa's best known arts district.
ArtsPark's invitational art show will showcase fifteen professional Hintonburg QUAD artists, children's art activities will be run by 4Cats Arts Studio, wares from an array of artisan vendors will be for sale, and a variety of food stalls will be on site.
On the ArtsPark stage there will be an full day of entertainment, with live music from local musicians Hey Buster, Sara Hallman, Lucky Ron, Robert Farrell, Reverb Syndicate and Micarza Camaro, as well performances from spoken word artists. We are pleased to announce that Ken Rockburn will be the emcee.
A great way to start the day will be to ride to ArtsPark in a family-friendly bike parade. All are welcome to meet at the Hintonburg Community Centre at 10:00 a.m. and ride in style along Armstrong St. to Parkdale Market Park, where ArtsPark will be in full swing.
