WHERE WE'LL BE: 2 Farmers' Markets & a PU soap-carving workshop!

It's going to be another great weekend for us at PU. Be sure to check everything out!

This Saturday, August 18th, we'll be at 2 Farmers' Markets as well as having our shop open from 11 - 5pm. We'll also be hosting a soap-carving workshop from 3-5pm on Saturday at the Dalhousie Community Centre as part of FestivAsia. Also, on Sunday, August 19th, we'll have our shop open from 11am-5pm. Can't wait!

First off, we are super excited to be at the Preston Farmers' Market! A hop, skip & jump from our store the Preston Farmers' Market has so much local to offer.

Did you miss last weekend's corn roast? Well cry not! We're firing up the flames again :) Come to the PFM this Saturday for freshly roasted farm corn. Chef Richard Nigro will be on hand to top your cob with one of his scrumptious specialty butters (peach raspberry & bacon-blue cheese). Yum! Also, this Saturday, The Perrier Birtch Jam Acoustic Duo will serenade the PFM -- a wide array of songs ranging from 50s classics to modern top 40 hits. You can't miss this!

When: Saturdays from 9am to 2pm

We're also at the Main Farmers' Market!

This Saturday August 18th, 2012 we’ll be at the Main Farmer’s Market in Old Ottawa East and we’re super happy to be there almost every Saturday for the entire season this year!

Where: Dalhousie Community Centre, 755 Somerset Street West in Ottawa's Chinatown.

When: Saturday August 18th from 3-5pm

Spend an afternoon casually carving Purple Urchin’s handmade soap, and mingling. It’s amazing how soap provides the perfect, easy-to-work-with medium to carve words, initials, shapes, and anything else you can dream up.

* Kids are more than welcome to participate, parental supervision is required. No experience necessary, tools and templates (if needed) provided, and you can take your creations home.

We are really happy to be part of this year's FestivAsia in Chinatown - there's so many amazing things going on!
