Washing your hair with a bar of shampoo instead of liquid shampoo might seem a little odd. We all grew up squeezing the shampoo out of a bottle and into our hands. We’ve become so used to it that the very idea of washing our hair with something else seems strange. But it doesn’t have to be!
Like most things, you get used to change. Even the most outlandish ideas can become normalized, and trust us, washing your hair with a bar isn’t that weird! After a short adjustment period, using a bar soap on your hair won’t seem strange at all. Washing your hair with chemically filled liquid shampoos, however, will.
Under regulatory agencies, shampoos are classified as a cosmetic. This means FDA approval is not necessary before the products are distributed. However, the FDA can remove products from shelves if they deem it unsafe. Manufacturers can put whatever ingredients they want to in the products. Some of the ingredients in generic detergent shampoos are known carcinogens.
We have created two different types of shampoo bars; Hemp Head for dry and damaged hair, and Head Case for oily hair. If your hair type falls somewhere in the middle, you can choose by scent!
So choose your bar and go get soapy in your shower. Give your hair a chance to get used to the detergent-free shampoo and you’ll be hooked on all-natural shampoos forever.
Because you need soap. P.U.
