Mother's Day Local Delivery
With Mother's Day looking a little bit different this year, we want to help you make it extra special! Purple Urchin will be offering local delivery to the Ottawa area for all Mother's Day gifts. We want to help you get your gift to mom on time! Our team will be delivering gifts on Mother's Day Sunday, May 11, 2020 between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Orders placed between Monday, May 4, 2020 (after 11:00 AM) to Saturday, May 9, 2020 (before 5:00 PM) will be able to select our local delivery option at checkout. The local delivery option at checkout has a $10 fee. The fee associated with local delivery is to cover the costs of gas and time spent to coordinate the delivery.
ADD MOM'S PHONE NUMBER TO YOUR ORDER: SHIPPING ADDRESS DETAILS
When you place your order, selecting the Mother's Day Local Delivery option at checkout, you will need to enter the gift recipients details. It is important to ensure the phone number of the gift recipient is included with your order. Purple Urchin will be calling the gift recipient ahead of time to ensure they are home to receive their gift. It is important for you, as the gift giver to provide the gift recipient with a heads up that a "special delivery" will be happening on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2020.
GIVE MOM A HEADS UP TO BE HOME DURING DELIVERY ON SUNDAY
If a gift recipient is not home during our drop-off, and they live in an apartment building, Purple Urchin will not be leaving the gift in the apartment foyer or outside of the apartment. We don't want your gift to your mom to be stolen! If a gift recipient lives in a house with a safe, private front door, Purple Urchin will be leaving the gift on the door step.
Any gift recipients that did not answer the initial call and were not home at time of delivery will be called after drivers finish their route for one last call to try and make a successful delivery. If the gift recipient does not answer their phone and lives in an apartment building, Purple Urchin will bring their order back to the store and contact you (the gift giver) to pickup the order during our Curbside Pickup hours. We will not be issuing refunds for the delivery fee.

Each member of our team out doing deliveries will be wearing masks and be sanitizing their hands, using our Hand Sanitizing Spray (with 80% alc.).
