Massage this tingly balm into your sore muscles to relax and soothe them. Our 100% natural muscle rub contains black pepper and sweet birch essential oils which, in aromatherapy, are known for their soothing and pain relieving properties.  It also makes a great massage balm and can be used on your temples for tension headaches as well!

Ingredients:
cocos nucifera (coconut oil), cera alba (beeswax), olea europaea (olive oil), betula lenta oil (sweet birch), mentha piperita oil (peppermint), citrus sinensi oil (sweet orange), zingiber officinale root oil (ginger root), piper nigrum seed oil (black pepper), and myristica fragrans oil (nutmeg).
Please note: Sweet Birch essential oil should not be used if you are pregnant, have liver problems, or are on blood thinners. Do not apply to babies or children under 12 or to open wounds.

How to Use:
Massage a small amount of this rub in a circular motion onto sore muscles. This product will soften and melt with a combination of body heat and friction, allowing for a small amount to spread across a large area. Use as needed. 

Shelf Life:
24 months from date of manufacture.

Our products are made with natural ingredients and are free of artificial preservatives. A best before date can be found on the underside of each item, letting you know when the product should be used by.

Product Care:
Please make sure hands are clean and dry before every use so as not to introduce potential dirt or bacteria into the product. Do not allow product to come in contact with water while in its container. This product should be kept away from direct heat in between uses.

When bringing in a container to be filled with product, the container must be clean, sanitized and dry. These requirements are mandatory as they assure that our products retain their high quality and freshness. 
Please note that the refill station is available in store only.

How to wash your Purple Urchin Black Pepper & Birch Sore Muscle Rub jar:
Begin by washing out the jar with soapy warm water. Once all leftover product residue has been removed, add roughly 1/4 oz of rubbing alcohol into the jar. Vigorously shake the mixture within, then discard contents. The rubbing alcohol will thoroughly sanitize and remove any remaining particles from the container's interior. Let the jar dry out completely before refilling with new product.
