Our Lavender and Tea Tree Shampoo Bar is an all purpose bar, it can be used from head to toe. As a shampoo bar, this bar creates a rich lather, and rinses out easily. The shea and cocoa butter makes this natural shampoo bar one of our creamiest! The tea tree and lavender oils in this bar make it perfect for dandruff, flaky, dry or acne-prone skin.

Our Lavender and Tea Tree Shampoo bar is great for dogs too! Containing the same ingredients as our former Shampooch bar, this creamy shampoo lathers deep into your pooch's coat. Tea tree oil fights off pests (like fleas and ticks) and fights any bacteria left on skin. Your dog will have a fluffy, soft coat as well as smell clean and fresh.
Please Note: Not to be used on cats or other small pets. The essential oils in this soap are toxic to other animals, but are perfectly safe and beneficial for dogs.

100% natural · vegan · cruelty-free

Ingredients:
sodium oleate (olive), sodium cocoate (coconut), sodium canolate (canola), sodium  ricinoleate (castor seed), sodium sheabutterate (shea butter), sodium cocoabutterate (cocoa butter), sodiu almondate (sweet almond), lavandula augustifolia oil (lavender), rosmarinus officinalis oil (rosemary), eucalyptus globulus oil (eucalyptus), malaleuca alternifolia oil (tea tree).

Please note: our Lavender and Tea Tree shampoo will always look a tad different every time we make it. The bar you receive may not look like the pictures - that's the nature of hand made soap!

Scent:
Our Lavender and Tea Tree Shampoo Bar has a nice clean yet subtle scent of lavender or tea tree.

How to use:
For hair: rub your wet shampoo bar directly onto your wet hair, ideally at the scalp area. The friction against a fibrous surface will ensure an optimal lather. Massage the lather into your scalp, working your way from the roots to the tips of your hair. Depending on hair length and thickness, this process can take from 2 to 5 minutes. Rinse product out of hair.

After use, hair may be used to producing an excess of oil from using detergent-based shampoos, and may feel greasy or waxy for the first couple uses. If you style your hair with hot tools such as a straightener or curling iron, the hair may not style in the same capacity due to the oil resetting as you transition to a natural shampoo bar. Allow your hair a few weeks to adjust to a natural, detergent-free shampoo bar.

For face and body: rub the bar into hands to create later; rubbing the bar into a loofa or washcloth will provide optimal suds. Massage the lather across the intended areas, then rinse off.

How To Use For Dogs:
Rub the bar directly onto wet fur until enough lather forms to scrub all desired areas.

Shelf Life:
36 months from date of manufacture.

Our products are made with natural ingredients and are free of artificial preservatives. A best before date can be found on the underside of each item, letting you know when the product should be used by.

Product Care:
Store in a dry, cool area in between uses. If keeping the bar in a shower or bathtub area, be sure the bar is sitting on a space or soap dish that drains itself of water efficiently.

I would highly recommend this soap. Cleans very well body and hair. Reduces the use of plastic packaging. Purple Urchin is good for the environment and I love to encourage local business.

Great shampoo bar!

Highly recommend this. It took a few washes for my hair to get used to it and do have to deal with greasy hair and dandruff for the first couple weeks. After that, I could go 3 days without washing my hair and not have it feel greasy. I have hair that feels very slippery and this gives it the hold I’m looking for so that I can style it while feeling clean. An apple cider vinegar rinse every week or so helps to clear out some of the shampoo build up as you’re switching over!

I love this hair soap

This shampoo is the best! I switched from the classic shoppers brands to this during the winter, and my hair looks amazing! I’ve been able to stop using conditioner and can even wash my soap less, which is great for fine hair. I was hesitant to switch to more natural shampoos because I worried about the greasiness, but this has really eliminated that problem! Highly recommend!

Say Goodbye to Dandruff and Hello to your Natural Curls with this Shampoo Bar!

I've tried every remedy under the sun, from T-Gel (which smells like gasoline) to natural remedies such as baking soda and applying tea tree directly on the scalp (which is a lot harder than you think). None of these options worked. Being someone who has a closet full of black clothing, dandruff is not ideal and so embarrassing. I recently switched over to using Purple Urchin's Tea Tree and Lavender Shampoo, Face and Body bar and will never go back to using a liquid shampoo again. My dandruff has cleared up, and my scalp feels so fresh and clean. I was a bit skeptical of using a bar in my hair, but the shampoo bar creates so many suds making it easy to lather your hair and really scrub your scalp. If you have similar dandruff or dry scalp problems such as I do, I recommend two thorough washes for your hair to get the best results!

The appearance of my hair has also significantly improved with Purple Urchin's Tea Tree and Lavender Shampoo, Face and Body bar! When I would use a liquid shampoo, I'd hate the appearance of my hair on the same day I'd wash it. My hair would be fuzzy, only on day 2 or 3 after washing my hair would it look the way I liked. I think this attributed to my scalp problems because I'd wash my hair in the evening, blow dry and style it and then sleep on it. With the shampoo bar from Purple Urchin, the natural oils stay in my hair - allowing my curls to take form! I'm so happy with the results both scalp wise and appearance wise of this shampoo bar!

Not for sensitive or dandruff-prone scalps.

I have a very sensitive and dandruff prone scalp, and from my experience this shampoo bar didn't react well with it. I had read the benefits of tea tree oil for dandruff, but this bar didn't help. I felt like it left residues after washes, even when I thoroughly massaged my scalp after each wash. It smells amazing though, but it just wasn't for me.

I recently switched to PU's Hemp Head Shampoo Bar and I immediately felt the difference, you don't find hemp oil as a common dandruff solution online, but it also has amazing anti-bacterial properties!
